24 - Kwanza Osajyefo - The World Outside Your Window

Today’s guest is Kwanza Osajyefo. He is an author and creator of indie comics, in particular the comic book series ‘Black’ in which it turned out that only blacks have superpowers. And that is followed these days with the new series ‘White’ which features the white reactions to this news.

This episode is double-sized, because it covers so much it couldn’t be contained.

Kwanza takes us through his origin story, through DC, Marvel, and webcomics, which is fascinating enough. And then we get to ‘Black’ which leads to, I think, one of the deepest discussions in comic books I’ve seen about the nature of power, who has the power, what is power, and so on.

This episode will hit you in the gut, while at the same time be very philosophical.
